Next Generation Holiday Parks expand in NZ, securing the Motutere Bay Holiday Park on the shores of Lake Taupo.
Motutere Bay is located right on the shore of Great Lake Taupo, halfway between the townships of Taupo and Turangi. Sites offer amazing views over the lake, and access to spectacular fishing, boating, tramping and mountain biking areas. It is also only a 45 minute drive from the Whakapapa ski fields, making it the perfect base for a summer or winter adventure.
Chief Executive Daniel Tilton couldn’t be more excited about the acqisition. “Motutere Bay is the perfect example of what Next Generation Holiday Parks is all about”, he said today. “The park occupies a beautiful natural location, and we have big plans to help realise its full potential.”
Daniel and the team are working on a new website, with live online bookings, and are looking forward to putting their unique stamp on the park. New park managers Neil and Katy Ellis, and their daughter Ashlee, are excited about their move to the park and meeting all the regular guests.
The entire NextGen team would also like to thank outgoing owners Brent and Jenny McIntosh for building up the park to where it is today. Mr Tilton said that their support during the sale process was unbelievable. “You really couldn’t find two more genuine, helpful people around”, he said today. “Their love of the park really shows in the presentation and the feedback from customers and we hope we can keep up the service to the high standards they have set. We wish them all the best in their well-earned retirement.”
Next Generation Holiday Parks officially take ownership of the park on 1 September 2016. You can check out the park at www.motuterebay.co.nz.
